    G'Gay All,

Ok.... I have got serious and installed a DVD Drive into my PC and will be used to take copies of various titles.

The unit is a 4KUS unit.

I first istalled the unit into the PC this morning (using WinXP) and started the PC. I placed 'DVD Decrypter' on the PC and placed a DVD into the drive. All went ok with no reported problems.

Thereafter I installed 'WinDVD' then re-ran DVD Decrypter and now have an error message popping up saying:

    ASPI Initialisation Failed
Error: ASPI manager was not found on system.

I have since removed WinDVD and reinstalled DVD Decrypter but still get the same error message.

How can I get things back on track again ??

    Best Regards
    Pete

    Please install this tiny utility
    and try again
    ASPIINST.EXE from
    WWW.ADAPTEC.COM

also if you're in ME or 95 try
    aspitool.exe
ASPI Reset Tool for Windows 95/98/Me. Copyright(C)2001 B.H.A. Corporation.

    G'Day dcsos,

Went and had a look at the ADAPTEC site and it dosen't show a ASPIINST.EXE unless they have decided to rename it.

    Pete

    PS: I'm running under WinXP.
